English Meaning
I climb the wooded hill and gaze toward my father. Father says: 'Alas, my son on service, never resting dawn to dusk — take care, come home; do not stay!' I climb the bare hill and gaze toward my mother: 'Alas, my youngest, ever sleepless in service — take care, come home; do not forsake us!' I climb the ridge and gaze toward my elder brother: 'Alas, my brother, ever sharing service — come home; do not die!'
