林有朴樕,野有死鹿。白茅纯束,有女如玉。

舒而脱脱兮,无感我帨兮,无使尨也吠。

English translation

English Meaning

In the wilds a dead deer, wrapped in white reed grass. A girl yearning for spring; a fine gentleman courts her. In the woods cut scrub, a dead deer bound with grass — the girl like jade. 'Gently, softly! Do not touch my sash! Do not make the little dog bark!'
