English translation

English Meaning

The clear zither grieves through the long night; around its strings, wind and rain mourn. By a lone lamp I hear the Chu horn; the waning moon sinks past Zhangtai. The fragrant grass has faded, and the old friend does not come. Letters home cannot be sent; the autumn geese turn south again.
