寒雨连江夜入吴，平明送客楚山孤。
洛阳亲友如相问，一片冰心在玉壶。
Pinyin
hán yǔ lián jiāng yè rù wú， píng míng sòng kè chǔ shān gū。
luò yáng qīn yǒu rú xiāng wèn， yī piàn bīng xīn zài yù hú。
English Meaning
Cold rain swept the river the night you entered Wu; at dawn I see you off, the Chu mountains standing alone. If friends and kin in Luoyang ask about me, tell them: a heart of ice in a vase of jade.

About the Poem
A farewell poem by Wang Changling (698–757), written at Furong Tower in Runzhou as his friend Xin Jian traveled on to Luoyang. The 'heart of ice in a jade vase' remains the classic image of unstained integrity.
