English Meaning
Hard times and famine have emptied the family estate; brothers, scattered, are each other's east and west. Fields lie desolate after the wars; kin are refugees on the roads. Like wild geese a thousand li apart we cast separate shadows; torn from the root, like autumn tumbleweeds. Watching this moon, we should all shed tears — one night, homesick hearts in five places.
