圣代无隐者，英灵尽来归。
遂令东山客，不得顾采薇。
既至金门远，孰云吾道非。
江淮度寒食，京洛缝春衣。
置酒长安道，同心与我违。
行当浮桂棹，未几拂荆扉。
远树带行客，孤城当落晖。
吾谋适不用，勿谓知音稀。

shèng dài wú yǐn zhě， yīng líng jìn lái guī。
suì lìng dōng shān kè， bù dé gù cǎi wēi。
jì zhì jīn mén yuǎn， shú yún wú dào fēi。
jiāng huái dù hán shí， jīng luò fèng chūn yī。
zhì jiǔ cháng ān dào， tóng xīn yǔ wǒ wéi。
háng dang fú guì zhào， wèi jǐ fú jīng fēi。
yuǎn shù dài xíng kè， gū chéng dāng luò huī。
wú móu shì bù yòng， wù wèi zhī yīn xī。
English Meaning
In a sagely age no one should live hidden; talents all come in to serve. So the guest of East Mountain cannot return to gather ferns. Yet even at the Golden Gate you fell short — who then says your way is wrong? You crossed the Cold Food at the Jiang-Huai; in the capitals you sewed spring clothes. Now I set wine on the Chang'an road, of one heart with you, yet about to part. Soon you will float a cassia oar home and soon brush your thorny gate. Distant trees attend the traveler; a lone town faces the setting sun. My plan simply was not used — do not say that true friends are few.

About the Poem
