城阙辅三秦，风烟望五津。
与君离别意，同是宦游人。
海内存知己，天涯若比邻。
无为在歧路，儿女共沾巾。
Pinyin
chéng quē fǔ sān qín， fēng yān wàng wǔ jīn。
yǔ jūn lí bié yì， tóng shì huàn yóu rén。
hǎi nèi cún zhī jǐ， tiān yá ruò bǐ lín。
wú wéi zài qí lù， ér nǚ gòng zhān jīn。
English Meaning
The city walls guard the Three Qin regions; through wind and haze we gaze toward the Five Fords. In parting from you I feel our shared lot — both of us officials far from home. Within the four seas, a true friend stays near though at the sky's edge; at the crossroads, let us not wet our sleeves like children.
