Feelings & Emotions in Chinese 情绪和感受

Feelings words are how a conversation gets past small talk, and Chinese has a tidy system for them: most are two-syllable adjectives you use with 很 (很高兴, 很累), and several pairs differ only in intensity — 难过 is sad, 伤心 is heartbroken. This list covers the moods, the physical feelings like hungry and tired, and the verbs of liking, missing and hoping.
